About IPZA
International Professional Zipline Association was organized in 2005 out of the need to set standards specifically designed for Zipline/Canopy tours by professionals of the industry. There are other associations that exist and have tried to set these standards. However, as Zipline/Canopy tours are not their industy of expertise, zipline professionals world wide have come together to form IPZA.
In consulting with zipline professionals, insurance companies, engineers and other related professionals, IPZA offers a set of standards that will raise the bar for the Zipline/Canopy tours industry.
IPZA is actively involved in areas of insurance, regulatory and legal matters with most states. Many insurance companies have asked IPZA for advice and education on issues regarding the Zipline/Canopy tours industry, and have invited IPZA professionals to inform their staff as to proper and safe practices in the industry. As a variety of state and federal departments and associations look at setting regulations and controlling the operations of Zipline/Canopy tours, we look to educate and advocate for programs suited specifically for Zipline/Canopy tours not ropes or challenge courses.
